Programs Offered

Programs Offered

The Wesley Chapel Montessori School at Lexington Oaks offers a variety of programs to meet the needs of children from 12 months to 6 years of age:

  • Young Children Program (12 months – 3 years)
  • Pre-Primary Program (3 – 5 years)
  • VPK Program (4 – 5 years)
  • Kindergarten (5 – 6 years)

Young Children’s & Pre-Primary Program

Programs for Young Children’s and Pre-Primary  (Classes begin at 8:00 a.m.) 

  • Half Day – 7:15 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. (Available 2, 3, or 5 days a week)
  • Full Day – 7:15 a.m. — 3:00 p.m.(Available 2, 3,or 5 days a week)
  • Extended Day – 7:15 a.m. — 6:00 p.m.(Available 2, 3, or 5 days a week)

Each child is responsible for bringing his or her own lunch. The school serves nutritious morning snacks for students enrolled in our Half and Full Day Program and afternoon snacks for students enrolled in our Extended Day Program.

Admissions Requirements for the Young Children’s Primary Program:

  1. Child must be 12 months old and does not need to be fully toilet trained.
  2. Completion of all forms in the Registration Packet.
  3. Payment of Registration Fee ($300.00 – non-refundable).
  4. A month long probationary period for all new students is required to determine whether our academic program is beneficial, and meets the needs of the child.

Admissions Requirements for Pre-Primary Program:

  1. Child must be 3 years old and must be fully toilet trained.
  2. Completion of all forms in the Registration Packet.
  3. Payment of Registration Fee ($300.00 – non-refundable).
  4. A month long probationary period for all new students is required to determine whether our academic program is beneficial, and meets the needs of the child.

Student Documentation:

Prior to the first day of class, each child must have the following documents and certificates on file in the school. These documents are required by Pasco County Childcare Licensing:

  1. Certificate of Health – DH form 3040 (within 30 days of the child’s start date).
  2. Florida Certificate of Immunization – DH form 680 (within 30 days of the child’s start date).
  3. 2019-2020 Student Application including Release of Emergency Care and Tuition Contract.
  4. “The Flu” Guide for Parents Brochure.
  5. “Distracted Adult” Getting In/Getting Out Form.
  6. Permission for Food Activities and Special Occasions.
  7. Parent Handbook Acknowledgement Form.

VPK Program

The Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program at WCMS provides the area’s finest Montessori blended VPK Program. The program ensures that each child develops a strong foundation in Reading, Math, Language and Social Skills – skills required for success in Kindergarten and beyond. Florida VPK Certified teachers present lessons in an atmosphere that encourages the children’s sense of exploration and independence. VPK is a 3 hour program 5 days a week. Children who qualify must attend 80% of the VPK program hours.

Programs for VPK:

  • VPK ONLY –  8:00 a.m. — 11:00 a.m.
  • VPK Full Day  – 7:15 a.m. — 3:00 p.m.(Classes begin at 8:00 a.m.)
  • VPK Extended Day  – 7:15 a.m. — 6:00 p.m.(Classes begin at 8:00 a.m.)

  5. Payment of $300 non-refundable Registration Fee (Not applicable for VPK ONLY Program).
  6. A month long probationary period for all new students is required to determine whether our academic program is beneficial, and meets the needs of the child.

Daily program runs Monday through Friday. Dates & holidays are based on Pasco County Public School calendar and are subject to change.

Kindergarten Program

Kindergarten Program and Admission Requirements:

The Montessori Kindergarten Program is highly regarded among local education professionals. The children benefit from not only the proven Montessori environment, but also the enriched hands-on academic curriculum presented by talented teachers. The nature of our classrooms (collaborative and joyful learning with high but attainable goals) results in developmentally accelerated children. Our Montessori children gain academic preparation, intrinsic motivation, social responsibility, autonomy, confidence, competence, originality of thought, and sensitivity. Our children earn an education for life, and gain an appreciation for lifelong learning.
